ACTION NEEDED ON THE STOP ACT!

In recruiting co-sponsors of the bill, NAPUD has targeted senators who sit on the important Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee. Thus far, six HELP Committee members (DeWine, Hatch, Dodd, Kennedy, Mikulski, and Jeffords) are on the bill. If you are from any of the following states, PLEASE fax or phone the following offices to ask that they co-sponsor S. 408. If you have already made the request, please follow up with them again with a phone call (ask for the staffer who handles the Senatorís HELP Committee work).

It is crucial that these senators continue to hear from constituents in support of this modest bill to begin addressing a national problem.
