The dean of the University of California at Davis’ College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences recently acknowledged that roughly 20 percent of the college’s $165 million annual research budget comes from industry. According to the Sacramento Bee, UC-Davis has received grants from Syngenta, DuPont and Bayer.
