Jessi (she/her) is a Campaign Manager for institutional food purchasing and service at CSPI. In this role, she leads advocacy campaigns at the federal, state, and local level to ensure that public institutions like prisons, hospitals, and other government facilities serve nutritious food that is sourced sustainably and equitably. She also oversees CSPI's advocacy to strengthen the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, the federal government's nutrition advice that is updated every five years. Outside of work, she enjoys indoor cycling, yoga, cooking delicious plant-based meals, and reading a book a week.

Prior experience

A registered dietitian, Jessi received her Master of Science in Public Health with a concentration in Human Nutrition from Johns Hopkins University, and received her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University. While in graduate school, Jessi was a research assistant at the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future and completed her capstone project at MANNA, a medically tailored meal nonprofit in Philadelphia.

Jessi joined CSPI's staff in 2019. She was also a CSPI summer intern in 2016.
