Mayra (she/her/ella) works closely with CSPI staff to oversee a wide range of project management tools and manages budgeting and reporting of all grants and subgrant expenditures.

Prior experience

Prior to joining CSPI, Mayra served as the Co-Executive Director of the Arizona Democracy Resource Center and ADRC Action, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering community members and encouraging civic participation. She was previously the Director of Operations & Communications for Arizona Advocacy Network & Foundation, where she supported state-wide election protection and voter advocacy programs. She also spent many years as a program manager in Washington, DC including managing the city-wide Produce Plus nutrition incentive program. Mayra earned an M.A. in American Studies from Purdue University, an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Scripps College, and studied Executive Nonprofit Management at Georgetown University.
