Greg Jaffe Senate testimony March 12, 2020

Greg Jaffe, director of CSPI's Project on Biotechnology, was invited to testify before the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry in a hearing titled "Agriculture Innovation and the Federal Biotechnology Regulatory Framework." This document contains Mr. Jaffe's testimony for the record, which lays out some of CSPI's concerns with current regulation and advocates for a coordinated, proportionate, risk-based regulatory system with different levels of oversight based on a product’s potential risk.
