USDA Misleads on “Increased SNAP Benefits”

On July 30, 2020, the Center for Science in the Public Interest sent this letter to Congress warning of a misleading press release from the USDA about an increase in SNAP benefits. The letter urges Congress to increase benefits and expand eligibility for SNAP in the manner proposed by the House-passed HEROES Act.
