Letter to FDA re: Soft Drinks with Added Sugar, 2011

The undersigned scientists, health professionals and organizations are deeply concerned about the harms resulting from the excessive consumption, particularly among youths, of soft drinks with a high content of added sugars.
This letter urges FDA to place health messages on sugar sweetened beverages, warning consumers of the risks linked to SSBs (such as obesity, coronary heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and some forms of cancer).
