Regulatory Cooperation by the United States and European Union Needed to Address the Transatlantic Epidemic of Obesity and Diet-Related Disease
Obesity and diet-related disease is a transatlantic (indeed global) problem and is caused in part by the practices of multinational food companies.
A response is needed across all levels of society, but MFCs and governments clearly have an important role to play in helping to tackle the problem and to facilitate healthier choices. US and EU cooperation on this issue would be immensely valuable and facilitate the sharing of information and the adoption of best practices.
