On August 29, 2024, officials from the Food and Drug Administration convened a meeting with representatives of the Safe Food Coalition, which includes CSPI. In a panel discussion with CSPI director of regulatory affairs Sarah Sorscher, FDA’s Division of Budget and Planning director Matthew Baker presented the following slides related to staffing and funding levels for FDA’s Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN) and its Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA).
