Two out of three American adults—and one out of three children and teens—are overweight or obese. And it’s not just here. “Since 1980, WHO estimates that the worldwide prevalence of obesity has more than doubled,” noted Margaret Chan, Director-General of the World Health Organization, in October. “This shift to population-wide obesity is occurring with terrifying speed.”
